Career Counseling Program

The Education Enrichment Foundation, in partnership with Karachi Youth Initiative, has undertaken the Career Counseling Program to provide the youth of Korangi with an opportunity to attend career counseling sessions. 16 schools were short listed to participate in the activity and trained counselors were sent to each school to short-list 15 candidates per school based on their interest and aptitude.

The activity started with group sessions of about 40 students per group and the short listed students were then required to attend monthly sessions at the Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship. Workshops are conducted on various topics from Resume Writing to Interviewing skills. Students are also involved in group activities to enhance team building and one-on-one counseling sessions also take place. Each counselor is required to maintain a progress report of all the candidates to determine the level of improvement in each candidate at the end of six months, in January 2015.
