FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE (FLL)

January 2013, KITE, Karachi
The Education Enrichment Foundation, the Regional Partner for executing FLL activities in Karachi, hosted the FIRST® Lego® League (FLL) at KITE (Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship) in January 2013, in partnership with STARfALL Foundation. FIRST® Lego® League is the result of an exciting partnership between FIRST® and LEGO® to offer a worldwide Robotics Program to children to inspire them to be science and technology leaders. FIRST has a widespread network of Operational Partners around the world and the Operational Partners in turn liaise with Regional Partners to execute FLL Seasons’ activities in their regions. EduEnrich, a platinum sponsor for FLL, is focused on programs that promote an aptitude for technology in various age-groups. This is where the objectives of EduEnrich align with those of FIRST® Lego® League to develop a love for science in young kids so they become technologically savvy adults who can compete globally. To ensure this mission, EduEnrich has a strong affiliate arrangement with the only state-of-the-art Robotics Lab in Pakistan which offers a safe, secure and conducive learning environment for children. FIRST® Lego® League (FLL) introduces younger students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. FLL teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society. FIRST® is a US based, not-for-profit organization, devoted to helping young people discover and develop a passion for science, engineering, technology, and math. In collaboration with LEGO®, FIRST® has designed a family of programs in support of its objectives.
